This is the work of Mary Elizabeth Johnson, an artist currently residing in Savannah, Georgia. Her most recent still life pieces explore the hidden beauty that comes from salvaged forgotten materials. The close attention to small details make these oil paintings seem more like photographs while urging viewers to examine more closely the special characteristics of objects that would otherwise be disregarded.
